Embed this map on your site

The same live simulation that runs on this site, in an iframe on yours. One line of HTML, no account, no tracking, and no cost — the only thing asked in return is that the credit link stays.

Size
Language

The map's own language, independent of the page it sits on. Planet names, buttons and the description panel all follow it.

Your code

…

Two pieces, and the second one matters. The <iframe> shows the map. The link underneath it is the credit — and it has to sit in your page rather than inside the frame, because a link inside an iframe counts as part of the framed document, not part of the page around it. Keep it visible and the credit is real; drop it and the map still works, but the attribution disappears along with it.

Or embed the launch countdown

A live countdown to the next orbital launch worldwide, in the visitor's own timezone. It rolls to the next flight by itself when one lifts off, so it stays right without anyone touching it. Narrow enough for a sidebar.

Your countdown code

…

The same two pieces, for the same reason: the frame carries the countdown, the link underneath carries the credit, and it has to sit in your markup rather than inside the frame to count for anything.

What you are embedding

The same simulation that runs on this site. Planet positions come from VSOP87 and the Moon from an ELP-derived series, computed in your visitor's browser rather than fetched — so the frame keeps working if this site is slow, and it costs you nothing in requests once loaded.

No cookies are set by the frame, nothing is tracked, and no account is needed. It is about 40 kB of JavaScript, loaded only when the frame is in view if you addloading="lazy", which the snippet does for you.

Sizing

The map fills whatever box you give it. Below about 720 px wide the list of bodies hides itself to leave room for the map; below 420 px tall the header does the same. A width of100% and a height around 520 px suits most articles. Give it more height rather than more width if you have the choice — the system is wider than it is tall, but the controls need vertical room.

Licence

Free for any site, commercial or not, as long as the credit link stays visible and followable. Do not put the frame behind a paywall or wrap it so the credit cannot be seen. If you need it without the credit, or want a build tuned to your own page, get in touch.

Using this in a classroom?

There is a page for that: what you can teach with the simulation, what it costs (nothing), whether pupils have to log in (no), and whether it will run on your equipment. The solar system in your classroom, or the same page in het Nederlands.
