What's visible tonight

The same sky looks different from every latitude. These are the planets above the horizon tonight, when each is highest, and how high it gets — computed for each place in its own local time and rebuilt hourly.

Latitude decides how high anything climbs, and longitude decides when. From the equator the planets pass almost overhead; from Reykjavík the same objects skim the southern horizon and the sky never fully darkens in summer. Pick the place nearest you.

Eighty places is not everywhere. Pick the nearest one: within a few hundred kilometres the times shift by minutes and the altitudes barely move, which is well inside the accuracy anyone needs to decide whether to go outside. Times drift by roughly four minutes per degree of longitude, and altitudes by one degree per degree of latitude.
