Privacy statement
What is collected, why, who receives it, and how to stop it. There is less here than on most sites, and this page says so plainly rather than padding it out.
Who is responsible

What we do not collect
- No account, so no name or password — and no email address unless you hand us one
- No location beyond the country your IP suggests
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
- Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers
What we do process
Server logs
Our host records the IP address, time, requested page and browser string of every request. This is how any web server works, and it is what lets us keep the site up and spot abuse. The basis is legitimate interest. Logs are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything else.
Analytics
If, and only if, you allow it, Google Analytics records which pages you read, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you use. The basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie settings at the foot of any page. Until you allow it, Google receives an anonymous signal with no identifiers attached, which cannot be tied to you or to any other visit.
Analytics never sees your name or email address: the site has no accounts, and nothing you type into the newsletter form is passed to it. Nothing here is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Newsletter
Your email address, the moment you subscribed, and the IP address the request came from. To send you one email at the start of each month listing that month’s rocket launches, and to be able to show that you asked for it.
Consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time and we then stop. For now the signup arrives as an email in the operator’s own inbox rather than in a mailing platform. There is no list, no profiling and no automated sending. If that changes — and it will if enough people subscribe — this page changes with it, and anyone already subscribed is told before it does.
It is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Ask and it goes the same day. Reply to any of the emails, or write to the address on the legal notice.
If you never subscribe, none of this applies to you: the form is the only place on the site that asks for an email address, and it is never pre-filled or implied.

How long it is kept
Server logs are retained for as long as our host keeps them, in the order of weeks. Analytics data is retained by Google for the period set on the property, and the cookies involved expire after two years. Your cookie choice is stored in your own browser for six months, after which you are asked again.
A newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — there is no fixed expiry, because a monthly email you still want should not stop arriving on a timer.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, or a copy in portable form, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. The site holds no account and no identifier that points at you personally, so unless you have subscribed to the newsletter there is usually nothing to hand over — ask, and we will tell you exactly what exists. If you have subscribed, the thing we hold is your email address, and one request removes it.
Withdrawing analytics consent takes one click: cookie settings. It is exactly as easy as giving it, which is the point.

Changes
If this statement changes materially, the cookie banner reappears and asks again rather than assuming your old answer still stands.
